How to be evaluated for an Instinct Team
- Attend Camps and Clinics before the Evaluation Window but no conversation about a specific team can take place.
- Evaluation Window starts on Saturday, July 8th, 2023
- Acceptance day is Tuesday July 11th, 2023.
- Attend Instinct Evaluation-Tryout Camps, Clinics during the Evaluation Window
- Let the club and coaches know that you are interested in the club.
- Talk to the Instinct coaches for your age group

2023-2024 Season Age Definitions
18 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1st, 2005 or are high school students in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during the current academic year and are 19 years of age or younger (born on or after July 1, 2004).
17 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006
16 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007
15 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
14 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
13 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010
12 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011
11 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012
10 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2013
9 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2014
Important things to know to be evaluated by Instinct VBC
These are important things you must know in order to get evaluated and make a team at Instinct:
- Evaluation period for Club Teams 2023-24
- All age groups – July 8th-July 11th
- Acceptance Date) for ALL age groups is Tuesday July 11th . Acceptance can be done online, so you can be out of town.
- Clubs/Coaches may not discuss a specific team with a player outside their club before the Evaluation Window
- Let our coaches know you are interested in their team.
- Athletes may attend camps, clinics, lessons prior to the evaluation
TRYOUT DATES ALL AGE GROUPS
- session 1- July 8th – 8:00 am-12:00 pm (check in starts at 8:00 am)- This is our MAIN tryout. You should attend this session if you are interested in the top teams.
- session 2 – July 8th – 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- session 3- July 9th – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
- session 4 – July 9th – 2:30 – 4:00 pm
- session 5 – July 10h – 6:00 – 7:30 pm
- session 6 – July 10h – 6:00 – 7:30 pm
- session 7 – July 10h – 6:00 – 7:30 pm
- session 8 – July 10h – 6:00 – 7:30 pm
- session 9 – July 10h – 6:00 – 7:30 pm
- If you attend one of the sessions, receives an offer for a team and accepts it, you do NOT need to come to other sessions.
Our goal is to fill all our teams in the first session.
There are no refunds for tryouts.
Types of teams we offer:
Wild Gold – National level, sports performance included in fees, postseaon included 15-18s. 6 month season. 2 out of state qualifiers for 15-18s 1 for 12-14s.
Wild Black – National level, sports performance included in fees. 1 out of state travel. 5-6 month season
Wild – Regional level, 7 tournaments including a in state qualifier, 1 regional travel. 5 month season.
Metro – Regional level, 4 tournaments, 4 month season.
