Thanks for your interest in joining our volleyball club. For over 15 years we have successfully trained athletes and prepared kids for life. We have qualified teams for Nationals every season, have placed hundreds of athletes in college, and have many that went on to play professionally. The tryout process has changed in the North Texas Region, so please take a moment to read the information below.
We are offering Pre Tryout and Team Placement clinics starting May 8th. These re fast paced clinics where our coached can evaluated athletes interested in being a member of our club.
How to be evaluated for an Instinct Team
- Between the day after NTR Bid Regionals on May 6, 2024 and the tryout date on July 13th, 2024, verbal or written non-binding offers without signature(s) may begin to be made by any club to any player in the region at this time. Official binding written offers and exchange of money is not allowed until the acceptance date.
- Tryouts (Evaluation Window) starts on July 13th, 2024.
- Acceptance day is on July 16h, 2024. For all USA Volleyball age groups, the acceptance date is July 16, 2024 for all age groups. Club Directors may make binding offers and may accept any form of payment on or after the acceptance date.
- Attend as many Instinct Pre Tryouts & Team Placement Clinics and Positional Camps starting on May 6, 2024.
- During these clinics our coaching staff will start making verbal non-binding offers.
- Let the club and coaches know that you are interested in the club.
- Communication is crucial during this period. You can be evaluated by other clubs and we can evaluate other players. If you receive a verbal offer during the evaluation period and decide to accept it, we kindly ask you to be mindful of other players and families. Once an athlete accepts a verbal offer, our coaches continue to evaluate players but nor for that specific position in that specific team.
- Register for Tryouts. We recommend attending the main session on July 13th.
Tryout Dates and Times
- session 1 – July 13th – 8:00 am-12:00 pm (check in starts at 8:00 am)- This is our MAIN tryout. You should attend this session if you are interested in the top teams.
- session 2 – July 13th – 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- session 3 – July 14th – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
- session 4 – July 14th – 2:30 – 4:00 pm
- session 5 – July 15th – 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Our goal is to fill all our teams in the first session. Once you attend a session, receive an offer and accepts it, you should NOT attend the following sessions unless requested by the coach.

2024-2025 Season Age Definitions
18 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1st, 2006 or are high school students in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during the current academic year and are 19 years of age or younger (born on or after July 1, 2004).
17 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007
16 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
15 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
14 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010
13 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011
12 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012
11 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2013
10 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2014
9 and Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2015
Types of teams we offer:
Wild Gold – National level, sports performance included in fees, 6 month season. 2 out of state qualifiers for 15-18s 1 for 12-14s.
Wild Black – National level, sports performance included in fees. 1 out of state travel. 5-6 month season
Wild – Regional level, 7 tournaments including a in state qualifier, 1 regional travel. 5 month season.
Metro – Regional level, 4 tournaments, 4 month season.
