Head Trainer

Cilene Drewnick

Cilene has a passion for volleyball that shows in her great resume as an Olympic and Professional athlete and also in her coaching life where she keeps receiving outstanding feedback from parents and athletes. She played in two Olympic Games and professionally for 16 years. She was coached by several top international coaches including: Jose Roberto Guimaraes (Head Coach Brazil Women’s Volleyball team- 3 Olympic Gold medals), Bernardo Resende (Head Coach Brazil Men’s Volleyball team- 2 Olympic Gold medal, 3 Olympic Silver medals and 2 Olympic Bronze medals ), Marco Bonitta (Head Coach Poland Women’s Volleyball team), Giovanni Caprara (Head Coach Russia Women’s Volleyball team). Most recently, as a coach, Cilene participated in the training of the USA Youth National team in 2009 and the Brazilian Youth and Juniors National teams in 2008. Cilene has been invited to coach in clinics around the USA, and has provided consulting for clubs in Texas and Florida. Cilene developed our Instinct System. This system draws from all the experiences she acquired as a World Class Volleyball player and her network with the best players and coaches in the world. Cilene oversees the training of all our teams and actively participates in the training sessions along with our head and assistant coaches. She has great professional relationships with the top college programs in the US including Penn State, Nebraska, Hawaii, UCLA and many others as well as great connections with the top leaders in the USVA and the Brazilian Volleyball Federation. In 2010-2011, Cilene and her team, Instinct 17 Tigers National, became the National Champions in the Girls Junior National Championships held in Atlanta. This was Instinct’s first National Championship in only its 3rd year of existence and first year fielding a team at this age group. In 2011-2012, Cilene led the 17 Tigers National to a second place finish in the National Championships held in Columbus, OH. Cilene has coached several teams to Nationals and AAUs, and has mentored several athletes to pursue collegiate and professional careers. Cilene is a well known clinician around the country and has presented for 150+ coaches in several occasions. In 2012, Cilene was a featured speaker at the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) during the NCAA Final 4 in San Antonio.

Club Director

Eduardo  Drewnick

Eduardo played college and professional basketball. His involvement with volleyball started many years ago with beach and indoor volleyball tournaments in the US. Eduardo later participated as a volunteer in the training sessions for the Brazilian Women’s volleyball team while Cilene was a member of the team. He specifically helped and coached in the middle blockers’ training. He has coached youth basketball and volleyball and has run many volleyball camps and clinics. Eduardo has a bachelors degree in Physical Education and Sports Management and a MBA in International Business, Marketing and Finance. Eduardo has vast knowledge in the field of Sports Performance Training and developed many programs for youth sports in Brazil. He oversees our Volleyball Specific Physical Training. At Instinct, Eduardo’s teams have qualified for Nationals and finished in the top 10 in the NTR rankings every season. He has coaches teams to medal and championship positions both at Nationals (GJNC) and National Qualifiers.
